Ubaldo R. Gray, M.D., 85, of Princeton Jct., NJ, departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Care One in Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he immigrated to the United States in 1956.
Dr. Gray was a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Class of 1955. He was employed as a Clinical Psychiatrist for the New York State Department of Mental Health and the New Jersey Department of Human Services, retiring in 1998.
He enjoyed traveling, visiting his grandchildren, and playing the piano.
Dr. Gray was pre-deceased by his parents, Filomeno and Rosalia Gray and his sister Prudencia Gray. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Juanita, his children; Rafael (Cynthia Ellis) of Lake Oswego,OR, Marissa (Vernon Huang) of Hillsborough, CA and Maribel Gray of McLean,VA, six grandchildren; Maria Angelica, Emilio, Francisco, Elena, Evan and Edward and a brother, Ildefonso Gray of Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. David the King Catholic Church, 1 New Village Road, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550 on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ. Calling hours will be at the church on Monday from 9:30AM until 11:00AM.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Cristeta Laurente, his family physician of many years, and to Dr. Nenita MacIntosh and the staff of Mercer Bucks Oncology and Hematology Clinic, for their caring support.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ubaldo's name to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202 (www.lls.org) are appreciated
