Timothy F Downing's Obituary
Timothy Downing, 66, of Ewing, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born in Philadelphia PA, Tim graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Accounting after marrying Barbara, his wife of over 40 years with whom he had three children. Timothy worked in various positions in the world of finance for several years, working first as an internal auditor at Bristol Meyers-Squibb before leaving to work as the CFO of David's Cookies and subsequently MFR, Inc.
Timothy worked hard to earn his CPA certification, which he eventually used to leave the corporate world and open his own CPA practice until taking early retirement. Throughout his life Tim enjoyed playing basketball and golf, movies, dining out, and travelling all over the world.
Surviving Timothy are his loving wife Barbara Downing, sons, Michael Downing and Kevin Downing, daughter, Karin Downing; brothers and a sister, Mark Downing, Thomas Downing, Gregory Downing, Dennis Downing, and Anne Hoyt as well as numerous brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews.
There will be a gathering for friends and family held at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave, Princeton, NJ, 08542, on Friday, March 16th, 2018, from 11-12 PM. A service will be held immediately following at Noon on Friday. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made in Tim's memory to the individual's favorite charity.
