It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Somboon "Sommie" Ervin on Saturday July 27th after a truly courageous and tenacious battle with pancreatic cancer. Sommie was truly an angel on earth. She was a light to all who knew her.

Sommie was a combination of unconditional and gentle motherly love mixed with a fierce and feisty warrior. Her passion was protecting, guiding and loving the children in her care for over 25 years in the Princeton area. Love emanated from her to the children and their families providing care, food, fun and friendship. Her legacy is the light that shines from every life she has touched. May we all carry that fierce peace, and determined kindness forward.

Sommie is survived by a loving, heartbroken family community that she adored and who truly adored her. Her loving husband, Sam, her daughter Sammijo of Princeton NJ, her son, daughter in law and granddaughter Joe, Dang and Bai Fern, her brothers Moo and Lek each of Thailand. As well as her friends that became family, a granddaughter in Ella Bardzilowski, sister in Linda Atkins extended family in the Watchel and Bardzilowski families, Tonya Alexander and a countless number of other special friends and relatives whose friendship she truly treasured.
