Ruthe Kopliner
Ruthe Kopliner, 93, of Princeton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026.
Born on April 28, 1933, in Princeton, New Jersey, Ruthe was the beloved daughter of the late Harry Stout and Marion Stout (née Meehan). She spent her entire life in the town she proudly called home.
Ruthe worked for many years as the office manager of a medical practice in Princeton, where she happily cared for her patients until her retirement.
She enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Ruthe loved taking trips to Atlantic City with her husband, Mike, especially visiting the Showboat Casino. An avid bowler, she remained active in her bowling league until she was 88, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought the league to an end. She found joy in feeding and watching the birds outside her home, was an enthusiastic reader who spent many hours at the Princeton Library, and appreciated the quiet comforts of home.
Ruthe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael C. Kopliner Jr.; her parents, Harry and Marion Stout; and her cherished cat, Lucy, who was her constant companion for many years. Lucy will be laid to rest with Ruthe, a fitting tribute to the special bond they shared.
She is survived by her loving son, Michael C. Kopliner III; her grandchildren, Rachel Young (David), Michael C. Kopliner IV (Jennifer), and Rebecca Pirollo (Brian); and her great-grandchildren, Brooke Young and Ava Kopliner.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, New Jersey. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kimble Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you honor Ruthe's memory by feeding the birds, enjoying a good book, or performing a simple act of kindness in her memory.
Ruthe will be remembered for her strength, her independence, her love of family, and the many simple joys that filled her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
