Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Robert H. Roessle at the age of 79 on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Robert passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family in Princeton, New Jersey.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Robert was a longtime resident of Elizabeth, New Jersey and was an active and longtime member of St. Genevieve's Church.
Robert worked for 45 years as a senior structural designer in engineering. Prior to this he honorably served in the United States Army.
Robert was patient, creative, loving and kind. He was the epitome of "still waters run deep," never wanting to be the center of attention.
Robert loved fine dining, travel, completing crossword puzzles and was known as "the grill master" by family and friends.
Family was the focal point of his life. He was always there to show his love and support to his wife and children. He doted on his grandchildren who are very dear to him and who loved him greatly in return.
Surviving are his beloved wife, of 54 years, Barbara, his loving children Robert H. Jr., Jennifer Knill and her husband James and Michael K. and his wife Kelly. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Alexandra, Michaela and James as well as a niece and nephews.
A private service will be held for the immediate family and will be followed by a memorial service celebrating Robert's life at a later date.
