Robert P. Guinn, Sr., 83, of Yardville, NJ passed away on his birthday, Friday, February 14, 2020 at RWJ Hospital, Hamilton.

Born in Princeton, NJ he moved to Yardville 52 years ago.  He entered the U.S. Army directly from high school and was honorably discharged after serving during the Korean Conflict.

Upon discharge from the military, Robert joined the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union of New Jersey, where he became an apprentice bricklayer.  In his 42 year career, he first worked for Princeton Local #6 which merged with the Trenton Local.  He eventually left their employ to work for Princeton University before retiring in 2000.

He was a past member of Princeton Fire Company #1.

Robert was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Kathryn Oehr Guinn, two sisters Dorothy Yingling and Kathryn Allshouse and a brother Raymond Guinn.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Anne L. Guinn, three children; Robert P. Guinn, Jr. and wife Cindy of Lynchburg, VA, Theresa Currie and partner Gary Zuckerman of Roosevelt, NJ and Brian Guinn and wife Phuong of Yardville, NJ, 4 grandchildren; Heather, Karlie, Dana and Briana, one great grandson, Justin and several nieces and nephews.

Services will begin Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:30AM in the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08542, followed by an 11:00AM Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ 08542.

Disposition will be private.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
