Norma Burns' Obituary
Norma R. Burns, 94, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Lewis County General Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1919 at Rector in Montague, New York daughter of William and Julia McDonald.
She graduated from the Augustinian Academy in Carthage. She later graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
Worked at St Francis Hospital in Miami, Florida and then at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for over 25 years.
She is predeceased by her husband Philip P. Gilmer (2003) and her sisters Mary, Naomi and Frances McMillian Burns.
She is survived by two sisters Thelma and Wanda Burns of Carthage.
Norma was a member of St. James Church in Carthage.
Services were private. Burial was Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton in New Jersey.
