Mary June Kreuz (née Youngkins), known to most as June, was born in Buffalo, NY on October 17, 1933, and passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.

In 1959, June and her husband, Donald Kreuz, moved to Princeton Junction, NJ with their three young children and a fourth on the way.  After Donald's passing in 1979, June continued to reside in the family home where she remained for the rest of her life.

She is survived by her four children, Lynne, Donald, David, and Gerard, sons-in-law Michael and Luis, daughter-in-law Mary, two grandchildren, Eric and Nicole, grandchildren-in-law Kelly and Jordan, and sisters-in-law Jeanne and Cindy. She was predeceased by her parents George and Bernedetta and her brothers, George and Patrick.

June worked at Princeton University for 31 years and was a devoted and loving mother for over 72 years. She was always caring and supportive, constantly putting her family before herself. The four of us could not have asked for a better mom! She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking and traveling. Mom was adventurous--she hiked Bumpass Hell Trail at Lassen Volcanic National Park at age 83 and climbed the steps to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre, Paris at age 85. She faced several challenges in her life, some fun but some not and she conquered them masterfully.

June requested no funeral or formal farewell. Instead, she hoped that those wishing to honor her would consider donating to charities of their choice that help those in need. Some of her favorite charities were the American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Covenant House. Our mom was always thinking of others.

Her ashes will be laid to rest beside her husband, Donald, at St. Paul's Parish Cemetery in a private gathering. We will miss her deeply but take comfort in knowing she is at peace.
