Maria Lucia Balestrieri, 83, of Princeton Junction, NJ, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born to Crescenzo and Francesca DiMeglio in Barano D'Ischia, Napoli, Italia, she came to the United States in 1966 and has been a resident of Princeton Junction for the past 44 years.

Mrs. Balestrieri was employed as a professional seamstress in Italia before moving to America where she spent most of her time as a homemaker taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Princeton.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Salvatore Balestrieri, whom she wed in 1966, a daughter, Catáldina Balestrieri, a son, Luigi Balestrieri, a sister, Lucia DiMeglio and nieces and nephews.

Services will begin on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:30am in the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08542 followed by an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ .

Burial will take place in the family plot at Princeton Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
