Khalil A. Shaqfeh (Kal) of Washington Crossing, PA died on Friday, April 4, 2014 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 73.

Born in Aqir, Palestine, Kal came to the United States when he was 17 years old on a student visa and attended college in California. Kal lived in Bucks County for 49 years and was a resident of Washington Crossing for the past 28 years.

Kal was devoted to his family. He was married to his wife Pat Shaqfeh for 47 years.

He was the loving father of Eric Shaqfeh and his wife Terhilda of Oakland, CA, Boyd Shaqfeh of Schuylkill Haven, PA, David Shaqfeh and his wife Dawn of Spring Grove, PA and Daniel Shaqfeh and his wife Christy of Salisbury, MD. He was also the proud "Pop Pop" of seven grandchildren. Kal is also survived by many family members still living in the Middle East.

Funeral services were held at the Islamic Society of Central New Jersey (ISCJ) and he was buried at Jersey State Memorial Park (Makbarat-As-Salam).
