J
ohn Allen Hunter, 70, of Princeton, NJ, passed away suddenly on February 28, 2017.
Born in Coatesville, PA, John grew up in West Chester, PA. He is the son of the late David J. Hunter, Jr. and Ruth M. Hunter Downing.
John had various careers after leaving the U.S. Army, having served during peacetime in Korea and Kansas. He worked on the railroad out of Pittsburgh, had a car repair shop in Ohio and finally came east to immerse himself in music and computers.
He enjoyed playing the keyboard in a band and for many years he has been recording local bands in performances and preparing demos for them. Music was his favorite thing. He worked equally hard at his real job—computer programming and systems analysis.
He is survived by three sisters, Regina H. Mladineo Williams, Margaret H. Andrews, Kathryn H. Campbell and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at The Kimble Funeral Home at 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to any music education funds or Veterans' support funds of your choice.
