Irene Horka, 71, of Bedminster, NJ, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.  She was born on November 25, 1954 in Passaic, NJ to John and Irene (Kowalewski) Horka.

She grew up in Lodi, NJ and graduated from Lodi High School and Douglass College of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

Following early positions at Seventeen Magazine and Progresso Foods, she moved into computer related positions as a programmer and systems analyst.

Irene enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, watching Jeopardy and spending time in Cape May, NJ.

Predeceased by her parents and her sister Janet, Goutiere, she is survived by her sister Dorothy (Harry) Crumling of Williamsburg, VA; niece Suzanne (Brian) Forrest of Mooresville, NC; niece Jill (Ed) Pollard of Norfolk, VA and four great nieces and nephews; Grace Forrest and Alex (Ashton) Forrest of Charlotte, NC and Sadie and John Pollard of Norfolk, VA.

Visitation and Services are private.

Burial will be in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ
