Frances Joan "Fran" Sopko, 93, of St. Petersburg, FL., formerly of Manville, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Bayfront Hospital. She was born January 5, 1919 in Hastings, New York to John and Antoinette (Ciesiewiz) Szerwiel.

Fran was an assembler for American Partition Paper Manufacturing in New Jersey. She was an avid bingo player and loved to visit Atlantic City.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Sopko (11/16/1965), a son John Howard Bozenbury, a sister, Helen Pawlik and a brother John Szerwiel, she is survived by three daughters; Jackie Wisbeski of Manville NJ, Grace Pepe of Middlesex, NJ and Marianne Liccardi of St. Petersburg, FL, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A service to commit her cremated remains to the earth will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2PM in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Millstone River Road, Hillsborough, NJ.

Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Breast Cancer Association.
