Florence Ann Novins, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 25, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. Born in Camden, NJ, Florence lived in Toms River, NJ before moving to Plainsboro, NJ 36 years ago.

Florence was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and loved the water.

Mrs. Novins was predeceased by her parents, Florence Anna and Joseph Aloysius McDermott and her brother John McDermott and her brother-in-law Emedio DiPetropolo.

Surviving are her daughters Cathy Barasch of Plainsboro, NJ and her husband Elli, Liz Katkin of Estero, FL and Meg Novins Hanington of Princeton Jct., NJ and her husband Jack.

Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren, Erin & Noah Barasch, Zachary & Gregory Katkin, Emily, Bridgette & Mark Wasco, and Jack, Thomas & Molly Hanington.

Other family members include her sisters Patsy DiPetropolo, Kathleen (Jack) Herbert, Alice (Jim) Kelly, Joan McDermott and her sister-in-law Loretta McDermott. In addition she is survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

The family will receive guests at the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ, 08542, on Thursday, September 29, 2011 beginning at 10:00am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Florence's memory may be made to a local charity of your choice.
