Obituary

Eusebio Ongkingco Isip, Jr.

October 18, 1932 - December 12, 2018

Fondly called "Nior" by his brothers; Jun by his friends; and Tito Bong by nephews and nieces; Manila-born Eusebio Ongkingco Isip, Jr., 86, died peacefully on December 12, 2018.

Jun was the fifth child of Elena L Ongkingco of Bataan and Eusebio M Isip of Pampanga. He grew up spending his years in Manila where he earned his college education from the University of the East. He and his wife, Myrna, migrated to the United States in 2004.

He first worked for the Elizalde & Co for a number of years in accounting, before he found his true calling in sales. First with Edward Keller Corp as a medical representative; and later in a leadership role with Beecham Laboratories (now known as GSK) as a medical sales supervisor. To his younger brother, he was "Dr Isip", as he was always ready to prescribe his Pembritin antibiotics! Finally, he worked as an independent sales representative in the packaging industry before his retirement.

A devoted grandfather, he liked to dote on the children, driving them to and from schools, band practices, and music lessons. He also enjoyed listening to overtures and music from the likes of Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and the fifth symphony of Beethoven. Asked whom he likes best between Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, he would say Tony Bennett!

With an amiable personality, he easily made friends with strangers; and with his sociable disposition, he loved to entertain with his karaoke singing.

Surviving him are Myrna (wife); Dennis and Marita (son and wife); Jensine and Albert (grandchildren); Laurene and Raymond (daughter and husband); Jacques, Julian, and Giselle (grandchildren); Mabel and Arnold (daughter and husband); Colin and Jacob (grandchildren); He is also survived by younger brother Domingo; and a clan of nephews and nieces in the Philippines and in the USA.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 between 5:00pm and 7:00pm at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ. Another viewing will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Paul Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. from 10:00am until the beginning of the 11:00am funeral mass.
