Corrine A.
Mulford
d. Nov 11, 2022
Princeton
Corrine Atkins Mulford became a beautiful angel in Heaven November 11th, 2022 in Princeton, New Jersey, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Randy, her daughter Tyler (Bryan McCue), her daughter Hunter (Bobby Kaslander), her mother Audrey Atkins and brother Bruce Atkins.
Corrine was born on January 4th, 1960 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey and spent most of her years growing up in West Chester, Pennsylvania where she was a high spirited cheerleader and known to be seen riding her beloved Appaloosa Painted Eagle. She then studied at Ithaca College, playing Women's Lacrosse and studying Communications leading her to start her career in media, working in NYC for Ms. Magazine and later launching Princeton Magazine with many other successful ventures along the way.
After marrying her husband and giving birth to her daughters, she and her family lived in London where Corrine met many lifetime friends. She truly made friendships wherever she went and each and every one of her friends always felt Corrine's larger than life heart, loyalty and brightness. She and her family later moved to Skillman, New Jersey where Corrine would spend the rest of her life, raising her daughters to share her passions of friendship, horse riding, MacKenzie-Childs and interior design (with an impressive bird house collection – she also never missed a morning feeding the birds or the koi in her pond), fashion (known at all of the local Princeton shops by name and at every place in town as the "very nice, happy Blonde"), animals (especially bulldogs, also known to bring home an occasional snapping turtle to nurse back to health), entertaining (always the most delicious spreads) and philanthropy (her commitments including helping to create a school playground, fight school bullying and raise awareness for Alzheimer's).
From times ice skating at Rockefeller Center and crafting in the Toy Room, to countless elaborate breakfasts after sleepovers, Thanksgivings with enormous turkeys, and cheering her daughters on through every moment of life, Corrine was the kind of mother dedicated to the happiness of her family. She was beautiful and bright in every way possible, clever and fun loving, thoughtful and playful. She was an impressive and exceptional listener, cook, runner, baker, decorator, fashionista, leader, friend, mother and wife.
Those that love her will miss her laughter, her cheerful calls and her shining presence – but she will continue to be an angel looking over us all, most likely with a glass of chardonnay in hand and stunning heels on her feet.
A viewing will be held at Kimble Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 16th.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Corrine's name to the Alzheimer's Association or any other foundation promoting research and awareness around Alzheimer's.
