Clara Gale Goldbeck passed away at Stonebridge at Montgomery on September 7, 2010. She was 90 years old.
Clara Gale grew up in the Washington, D.C. suburbs and held a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland. A retired, longtime employee of federal nuclear research agencies, she was recognized for her contributions to the development and science of atomic power.
An avid birdwatcher, she enjoyed decades of nature travel from her home in Franklin Park. Clara Gale rescued many Shelties over the years, and treated each as she would a much-loved child.
Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Alice, and by her brother, Page. Survived by her niece and nephews, Margaret, Jeffrey, and Peter (Patricia), and extended family.
At her request, no services will be held. Please consider a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.
The Goldbeck family would like to thank the staffs of Stonebridge and of the Hospice Program of Princeton Homecare Services, as well as dear friends, Robert and Susan Keithler.
