Obituary

Carmine G. DeBaggis, 89, of Princeton, passed away in his home Thursday, October 13, 2016 with his loving family by his side.

Carmine was born on March 19, 1927 in Isernia, Italy where he grew up. He served in the Italian military before his marriage to his beautiful wife, Modestina, in 1954.

Mr. DeBaggis worked for Princeton University from where he eventually retired. He also owned a landscaping business.

With his wife's help, Carmine always enjoyed taking care of their wonderful home. He could be seen in the yard, growing a beautiful garden, fixing around the house and sharing stories of his family. He would constantly give instructions to his family about how to tend his garden.

His younger years were enjoyed with his wife and family at get-togethers, traveling to Italy and trips to the beach.

Carmine is predeceased by his wife, Modestina, in 2014, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, parents Damiano and Assonta Perna DeBaggis and brother and sister-in-law, Alessandro and Graciela DiBaggio.

Surviving are his loving children Claudio DeBaggis and his wife Mary of N.C., Susan DeBaggis and Diana Radogna and her husband Bill, all of Princeton, four grandchildren: Katherine, Mary, Michael and Alanna, brother and sister-in-law Raimondo and Luisa DiBaggio of NY and many loving nieces and nephews.

Carmine has now journeyed to meet his beloved wife. He will be greatly missed by all.
