Obituary

Becky Lynn Disher, 73, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2025, in Princeton, NJ.

Becky was born in Dayton, OH. on December 28, 1951, and was one of five daughters to Daniel and Mary Disher. After many years of traveling the country due to her father's service in the Navy, Becky settled in the Princeton area in 1967, where she graduated from Princeton High School in 1970.

Becky spent many years working at The Grotto in Princeton. She also worked as an Administrative Executive at the YMCA Princeton before retiring from University Orthopedics in 2016. Throughout her years working, Becky was fortunate enough to make many good friends that she considered to be part of her family.

Becky has always had a love of reading, especially Janet Evanovich novels that were set in Princeton. She also loved puzzles, good movies, Christmas time (she was noticeably putting up her tree earlier and earlier every year) and trips to Atlantic City with Roger. But what she loved more than anything in this world was being Mommom to her grandchildren, Marquis, Olivia, Peyton and Carter.

Becky was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Mary Disher, her sister, Debbie Disher, her nephew Jason Page and Debbie's longtime companion, Arthur Barclay. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Robinson (Reggie), Erica Martinez (Eugene), her grandchildren; Marquis Gillette, Olivia Gillette, Peyton Martinez and Carter Martinez, three sisters; Susan Mazzella (Bob), Jane Disher, and Nancy Weeden (Bruce). Five nephews; Danny Page, James Weeden, Scott Weeden-Moody (Christine), Nicholas Mazzella (Julie) and Robert Mazzella (Suzanne). A very special son-in-law Shawn Gillette and her companion over 30 years, Roger Madden. As well as a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be held at Kimble Funeral Home at 1 Hamilton Avenue in Princeton, NJ 08540 on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Visiting hours will be from 11-12pm followed directly by a service at the funeral home.
