Barbara A. Spott, 66, a longtime resident of Ewing, N.J., passed away at home on Thursday, January 20, 2011. Raised in Verona, N.J., she graduated from Verona High School in 1962, and attended Catonsville Community College in Maryland.

Throughout her 25 year career as a nurse, she worked at several area hospitals including Capital Health System at Fuld and University Medical Center at Princeton. Barbara retired in 2008 from New Jersey Manufacturers, where she worked as a medical claims adjuster for 20 years.

Barbara enjoyed traveling, and went cross country by bus for 8 weeks when she was 23. She loved New York City for its excitement, San Francisco for its beauty and the Grand Canyon for its serenity. She had a zest for life and enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, swimming, biking, the Jersey shore, and walking her dogs along the Delaware Canal.

Surviving are her daughter, Annette Petriccione; her sister Elaine Hoff; her brother Thomas Spott and wife Judy and her brother Bob Spott and wife Jean. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 11am at Central Baptist Church, 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
