Joseph H. Petty, 91, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Acorn Glen ALR in Princeton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he has lived in Princeton since 1942.
Joseph served in the US Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he co-owned Petty Printing Company in Ewing, NJ for 36 years. He was active in St. Paul’s Church in Princeton as an usher, volunteer at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and member of its Knights of Columbus Council. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Lillian Jones Petty in 2007, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Janice and Dennis Vermeychuk of Hamilton Square, NJ, a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph H. and Vivian Petty of Las Vegas, NV, three grandchildren; James and Joseph Vermeychuk and Jenna LaVacca and two sisters; Evelyn Marjorie Burtis of Langhorne, PA and Mary Alice Mason of Toms River, NJ.
Visitation will begin on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00AM in the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.
